I am extremely happy with the hardwood floor sanding and refinishing work! John and his crew did an excellent job transforming my floors, and the floors like new. The crew was hardworking, careful, and attentive to detail throughout the process. John was always the first one to my house every day and oversight every step. He was very responsive and provided solutions on our requests, no matter big or small. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for professional hardwood floor sanding and finishing. Excellent workmanship and beautiful results.
John and his team were professional and timely throughout the entire process. They are also incredibly talented at what they do! Our floors were refinished, repaired in some areas and new flooring was installed in one room. They seamlessly blended the repaired areas and new flooring in with the original planks. When it came to staining the floors, John was so helpful and patient with me as I tried to make this big decision. They turned out so beautifully and we cannot be happier with the result! I wish my photos did it justice because it looks amazing now that the trim has been installed and painted. We look forward to having him and his team back soon to refinish the stairs as well.
I am in the Matthews/Weddington area, and recently had a really excellent experience working with John and the team at Take the Floor! My project was to replace carpet with hardwood in one bedroom, and John went out of his way to match my existing engineered hardwood floors… ordering 8 samples to find the best match! Do we need to move out during refinishing?
Not always. It depends on the size of the project, the areas being refinished, and the finish system being used. During the estimate, we explain what areas will be accessible and what to expect during each stage of the project.
When can we walk on the floors again?
Drying and curing times depend on the finish being used. We provide specific instructions for your project, including when you can walk on the floor, move furniture back, and resume normal use.
Can you change the color of my hardwood floors?
In many cases, yes. Existing stain and finish can be sanded away, allowing you to choose a new stain color or keep the wood closer to its natural appearance.
